Come and Picnic with Friends

This new Friends Foundation event is a unique opportunity for you and your family to support literacy, education, and arts in Denver. This family-friendly celebration at the new RiNo ArtPark is free for all to enjoy.

We'll also celebrate the grand opening and dedication of Denver Public Library's newest location, the Bob Ragland Branch Library. The branch will be open for special activities, including Qi Gong, an artist spotlight and family yoga.

Picnic activities will include:

  • Summer of Adventure registration - Denver Public Library's signature summer reading program!
  • Pop-up Children's Used Book Sale by Red Chair Books
  • Storytime with your favorite DPL librarians and celebrity guests
  • Musical performances by Tiny Mule
  • Face painting
  • Family photo booth
  • Crafts with DPL staff
  • Food trucks
  • And more!

Funds raised help support Denver Public Library services and programming including services for children and families such as Summer of Adventure and Read Aloud.
