The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation invites you to support Denver’s world-class library system by donating to us on Colorado Gives Day, which is December 8, 2020.
“Colorado Gives Day is one of our most important fundraisers of the year. Donations help us do more to support the library and ensure that Denver is a community where everyone thrives,” says Jeff Riley, Executive Director.
Are you wondering about the impact one person can make? Consider a few examples of what could be done with your gift:
- $1,000 would purchase nearly 100 books for mobile services to distribute.
- $500 would purchase one hotspot to bring the internet into a household that does not have access.
- $250 funds five Memory Cafe sessions for older adults experiencing memory loss and their caregivers.
- $100 covers student supplies for a remote ideaLAB workshop with Denver Public Schools students.
Thanks to your support last year, over $63,500 was raised for DPL Friends in just 24 hours. Recognizing the economic challenges that lie ahead, help us reach and exceed that number this year so we can bridge the funding gap caused by city-wide budget cuts in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy through online giving. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, the event is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round, online giving platform. $1 Million Incentive Fund
Community First Foundation and FirstBank each contributed $500,000 to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund, one of the largest gives-day incentive funds in the country. Your donation to DPL Friends Foundation on Colorado Gives Day leverages a portion of this incentive fund for the Library.
